Do you dream with your eyes closed? Are you woken by the light reflecting off the snow? Don't know where the years go, but the minutes in the hours in the day feel slow. You told me you're lonely sometimes. Look up, how can you feel alone beneath that sky? And I say... There's no explanation in an ancient book. There're no answers in the hieroglyphs, no matter where you look. But when I look at you in the early morning light, I find comfort in the hope that I will love you all my life. So much pain in God's name. We're fighting wars across the seas. There's old men dying and there's children crying out from hunger and disease. We're spinning on an axis, can't feel it from the ground An illusion we're not moving, but the earth keeps moving 'round. Does it wake you up in the middle of the night? Are you burdened by the question, where's the meaning in this life? But I say... There's no explanation in an ancient book. There're no answers in the hieroglyphs, no matter where you look. But when I look at you in the early morning light I find comfort in the hope that I will love you all my life. When the weight gets so heavy, I hope you know you can't lift it alone. I'll help if you'll let me. Just take my hand and let it go.

Three 03:28
I would say you're about three years late. I'm married now got a picket fence with eggshell paint. The house sits on a hill about three miles down. You can see the sunset perfectly as it sinks beneath the town. Drug store remedies never last me very long. I try to sleep all day and when I drink I drink it all. But I hung our picture up so perfect on the wall, when the company comes in they see nothing is wrong. We're so happy. We're so happy. But we're not happy. No we're not happy. Last summer 'round the middle of July, he said I know I'm not a good man, but damn you make me wanna try. So I did my best to smile and sat with him a lonesome while. Sometimes the silence speaks for both of our denial. Like yes he is a good man but he does not wanna try. He breaks the empty bottles and he sleeps alone at night. I swear I'll fix him to avoid fixing myself. I packed my dreams in boxes and I put them on the shelf. So when you come back around, don't believe that I was waiting I am rooted in this town. And the picture's hit the ground. I will pick it up tomorrow, I will pull the curtain down.
